The course addresses the gap between overseas electrical trades practices, regulations and codes and those applied in Australia
The knowledge and skills of many overseas qualified electrical workers may be very high, but there are differences in the application of this technical expertise, differences that represent a gap. Australian Electrical Regulators are concerned that the gap be addressed in regulated trade vocations such as electrical, where the work context may differ markedly in overseas countries to that of Australia and such differences could endanger lives, infrastructure or systems.
This nationally accredited course is approved by Building and Energy WA and provides the Minimum Australian Context Gap training to holders of an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) or Technical Skills Assessment Record (TSAR) for the UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification.
This course enables electricians to attain the necessary requirements to apply for an unrestricted WA Electrician’s Licence from the Electrical Licensing Board.
