This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. Build your skills and shape your future 

Play a vital role in bringing buildings to life by gaining the hands-on skills needed to assist with internal finishes. In this course, you’ll learn how to safely erect scaffolding and work at heights, fix standard plasterboard sheets, and install paper-based cornices. You’ll also develop practical, job-ready skills that are highly valued by employers. Completing this course won’t just boost your confidence on-site - it’ll also give you a competitive edge when applying for an apprenticeship in the construction industry.

Once completed some units from this course can be used as credit towards the CPC31211 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining.

  • Work safely in the construction industry
  • Erect, use and dismantle scaffolding
  • Read and interpret plans 
  • Carry out measurements and calculations
  • Mix plastering compounds
  • Work with plasterboard and cornices
