Our Aim
There's never been a better time for your students to embark on a vocational education and training (VET) pathway at North Metropolitan TAFE. Our courses prepare students for the workplace, enhance their skills, and provide qualifications that may also provide credit towards university degrees.
By engaging with schools — including students, staff, and parents — we raise awareness about post-secondary study opportunities.
We have a dedicated School Community Promotions Officer as we understand the importance of helping young people navigate their training options and access support.

Presentations and workshops
We can deliver school presentations to introduce students to a wide range of course pathways, to encourage them to explore future training and career opportunities. These sessions introduce students to our training industries and courses, entrance requirements and campuses. We can also assist with course applications in a group setting.
The Jobs and Skills Centre offers workshops focused on careers, training, and employment. They support school students in various ways, either at their centres or on your school campus. Services include one-on-one course and career guidance, as well as workshops on resumes, job searches, and interview skills.
