Take the first step to setting up your own business with our practical online workshops.
These two hour online (via the Teams platform) workshops are designed for those with a trade background in the construction industry.
The workshops are scheduled from 4 - 6pm and will provide the basics in areas like business set-up, registering for GST, accounting and tax, bookkeeping, marketing, navigating contracts and using relevant technology. You can do all three or just focus on the one you need most support with.
Workshop 1 will help you take your trade skills to the next level, setting up your own business.
You'll be talked through the different types of business structures you can consider and get help with where to go to apply and register for the requirements you need to set up your business.
You'll also be pointed in the right direction to ensure all accreditations, licences and permits comply with relevant regulatory bodies.
We'll help you consider how to create the right business profile, the importance of a social media presence and how to market your services.
