Attention apprentices, trainees, vocational students, employers, and training providers: This is your chance to shine! Submit your application for the 2025 WA Training Awards (WATA).
These awards celebrate excellence in vocational education and training (VET), offering exceptional benefits to the winners. Individual winners will receive $3,000 to further their training, while organisation winners gain recognition as industry leaders, with access to extensive media coverage and marketing opportunities.
The Awards feature eight individual categories and five organisation categories, celebrating excellence in the VET sector while providing a platform to highlight inspiring stories that demonstrate the positive impact of training.
Individual categories include:
- WA Apprentice of the Year
- WA Trainee of the Year
- WA Vocational Student of the Year
- WA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year
- WA School-based Apprentice of the Year
- WA Trainer of the Year
- WA Cultural Diversity Training Award
- WA International Student of the Year
Please note that for most categories you need to have completed, OR due to complete your training by 1 October 2024 – 30 September 2025.
Successful WA winners will represent the state at the Australian Training Awards (ATAs) in Canberra. This includes participation in professional development activities and attending the ATA Presentation Ceremony to celebrate excellence at a national level.
Applications for the WA Training Awards close Friday, 11 April 2025.
Winners will be announced at a Presentation Ceremony in September.
