Are you a skilled migrant Plumber ready to establish yourself in Western Australia?

This course is designed to bridge the shortfalls for a Plumbing Tradespersons License in Western Australia as determined by the Plumbing License Board (Technical Regulator for Plumbing). 

We will guide you through the licensing process, ensuring once you have completed the gap training and your 500 hours of on-the-job plumbing work, that you will be eligible to apply for your Unrestricted Plumbing Tradespersons Permit.

These skills collectively prepare participants for a successful career in Plumbing within Western Australia's regulatory framework, enhancing both their technical abilities and professional readiness in the field.

  • Licensing Requirements:  Knowledge of the steps required to obtain an Unrestricted Plumbing Tradespersons License from the DMIRS Plumbing License Board
  • Gap Training Competence: Proficiency in the 8 Units of Competence covered in the gap training program, addressing any knowledge gaps identified during assessment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of local plumbing regulations and compliance requirements specific to Western Australia.
  • Safety Practices: Application of safety protocols and procedures relevant to plumbing work environments.

I have the following attributes:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret and install plumbing systems to comply with Australian plumbing standards
  • You must be employed by a current Plumbing Contractor to be able to complete your 500 hours of diarised on-the-job Plumbing work.
  • Must have the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or its successor/s).
