Are you a skilled migrant Plumber ready to establish yourself in Western Australia?
This course is designed to bridge the shortfalls for a Plumbing Tradespersons License in Western Australia as determined by the Plumbing License Board (Technical Regulator for Plumbing).
We will guide you through the licensing process, ensuring once you have completed the gap training and your 500 hours of on-the-job plumbing work, that you will be eligible to apply for your Unrestricted Plumbing Tradespersons Permit.
Important information
All applicants must have completed an OTSR (Offshore Training Skills Record) and hold a current 'Provisional Plumbing Tradespersons Permit', issued by DMIRS (Plumbing License Board WA).
You must be employed by a current Plumbing Contractor.
Must have the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or its successor/s).
You'll be able to access your personal timetable (find out how on our Timetables page(opens in a new tab) ), once you have paid your fees. In the meantime the information below provides an indication of the time commitment required to complete this course, depending on available study options.
On Campus
Theory and practical assessments for the 8 x units will take place over a 7 day period.
Group 2 | Induction 26 May, On Campus 26 June to 4 July.
Group 3 | Induction 18 August, On Campus 18 September to 25 September.
Group 4 | Induction 3 November, On Campus 4 December to 12 December.
Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.

Basic safety workwear must be worn including clear safety glasses for all practical activities.
Bring your own device (BYOD) is encouraged but not essential. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours.
As a student you will also have additional costs associated with your study, for example stationery, printing and other materials required for your assignments.
