Bring characters and stories to life in this dynamic introduction to the art of animation. This hands-on course is designed to teach you essential animation principles, such as squash and stretch, timing, and arcs, while mastering industry-standard tools like Toon Boom Harmony and Wacom tablets.

You’ll dive into creating dynamic animated sequences, crafting unique character designs, and applying techniques like keyframing and nesting to elevate your work. Whether you're looking to animate for games, interactive media, or short films, this course equips you with the creative skills and technical expertise to start your animation journey and stand out in the industry

On Campus

Class held Monday nights, 6pm to 9pm.

Next intake will be in July, Semester 2 2025.

Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.

Bring your own device (BYOD) is encouraged but not essential. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours.

As a student you will also have additional costs associated with your study, for example stationery, printing and other materials required for your assignments.
