Explore the way paint can achieve different effects

This course is designed to help you delve into the rich world of oil painting.  You'll start with the fundamentals, including how to choose the most appropriate brushes, paints, odourless solvents, and mediums. You'll learn basics like how to prepare your canvas.  You'll explore colour and mixing correctly, gain a deeper understanding of the painting process and most importantly start to see like an artist.  

This short course will give you a great opportunity to learn from a professional artist, with demonstrations and opportunities for your own creative journey.  

Dress requirements

• Participants must wear enclosed shoes e.g. sneakers or leather-type shoes

You will need to bring

• Apron or oversized shirt
• Notepad and pen/pencil
• Own brushes (optional)
