Metal + Memory

Trinity Arcade, Perth - 11 April 2025

At Trinity Arcade in the heart of the city we are celebrating the works of our talented Diploma of Jewellery Design students in a stunning shopfront display that has been inspired by memory and then wrought in metal.

Bringing together two powerful ideas – the permanence of metal, and fragility and beauty of memory – has seen our students explore the rich architectural heritage of Perth to create contemporary jewellery. From intricate textures to bold structural forms, each piece is a personal interpretation, transforming brick, gold, glass and steel into wearable art.

Iconic landmarks such as the Perth Mint and Council House are more than just buildings – they are keepers of stories, of craft, and of community. In a testament to what happens when design education meets real-world storytelling, you can see on display how these stories have been re-imagined by the creation of contemporary jewellery.

We invite you to visit Trinity Arcade and engage with both the history that surrounds us and the emerging talent that is shaping our creative futures. You are encouraged to spend time with these works, reflect on the inspirations behind them, and champion the creativity, craftsmanship, and the legacy of our shared heritage.
