If you work as a boilermaker, welder or tradesperson in the Heavy Fabrication industry, this skill set will enhance your skills in advanced Manual Metal Arc Welding. This course is designed to prepare students for entry into the "Weld to Code - Manual Metal Arc Welding Skill Set" by building on existing knowledge and demanding a higher standard of practical workmanship that is critical for success at the Weld to Code level.
- Correctly identify the most suitable electrodes and polarities for a range of welding applications.
- Identify, select and prepare material for welding with the MMAW process.
- Weld to AS1554.SP in all positions using the MMAW process.
- Apply distortion prevention techniques and rectify defects.
