Interstate students
If you live outside of WA, please be aware of the following conditions:
Students from other states
- Can only enrol in the Online Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care as a commercial student (commercial fees apply).
- This is the only course currently approved for delivery to interstate students.
- Christmas Island and Cocos Island are considered interstate and are not classified as local WA residents.
Students from Victoria
- Can enrol in any online course at commercial rates.
- NMTAFE is registered with the Training Accreditation Council (TAC) and can enrol students from WA and Victoria.
All other courses
- These courses are approved for delivery to WA residents only, except for Victorian residents enrolling in online courses as noted above.
Visa holders
If you live in Western Australia on a visa, please check your study rights eligibility:

- Local study rights: Apply as a local student and pay local fees.
- Commercial study rights: Apply via Visa Subclass Holder Commercial Fee Application and pay the non-subsidised, higher commercial rate (as outlined on the application page).
