To enrol in this course you must have completed one of the following qualifications:

• AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
• AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, or equivalent. (Graduates of the EWP stream must have completed AURETR129 Diagnose and repair charging systems and AURETR130 Diagnose and repair starting systems)

You'll be able to access your personal timetable (find out how on our Timetables page(opens in a new tab) ), once you have paid your fees. In the meantime the information below provides an indication of the time commitment required to complete this course, depending on available study options.

On Campus
Option 1
5 days over 2 weeks  (Wednesday to Friday; then Monday to Wednesday).

The next intake commences 15 February - 19 February.

Option 2
You can combine this skill set with Hybrid Electric Vehicle Inspection and Servicing Skill Set and complete both skill sets over 6 days across 2 weeks (Wednesday to Friday; then Monday to Wednesday). The enrolment form allows you to enrol in both courses however please ensure you meet the entrance requirements prior to applying.

Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.

You can combine these courses to be delivered concurrently.

Students will need to provide their own - PPE (personal protective equipment) - Long cotton drill pants, cotton work shirt (long-sleeved preferred), steel-capped boots and clear safety glasses. 

Bring your own device (BYOD) is encouraged but not essential. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours.

As a student you will also have additional costs associated with your study, for example stationery, printing and other materials required for your assignments.
