Pre-Apprenticeship in Jewellery – Build Your Skills for the Industry

Start your journey into the jewellery industry with this hands-on pre-apprenticeship. You’ll build a strong foundation in the core skills employers look for in apprentice jewellers.

You’ll train in state-of-the-art studios using industry-standard equipment, guided by experienced professionals who understand the demands of the trade. Throughout the course, you’ll develop the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to work as a commercial jeweller in a manufacturing environment.

As you progress, you’ll learn how to bring your ideas to life using both traditional and modern techniques. This includes designing jewellery using CAD software such as Rhino for printing and casting, as well as developing your ability to sketch and communicate design concepts by hand.

You’ll gain confidence working with essential hand tools and workshop processes, building precision, control, and attention to detail as you create and finish a range of jewellery pieces. You’ll also be introduced to industry-standard production methods such as lost wax casting and sand casting, giving you insight into how professional jewellery is manufactured.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to produce basic jewellery pieces and simple repairs, along with the experience and confidence needed to transition into an apprenticeship or entry-level role in a commercial jewellery workshop.
