This course is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who want to work on Country, following cultural protocols and combining traditional knowledge with modern land management practices. “On Country” includes land, waterways and sea, and this course equips you to care for these environments respectfully and sustainably.

This course is suitable if you’re aiming for roles such as Indigenous Ranger, tour guide, cultural interpreter, council or government worker, land management employee, bushland officer, or cultural heritage officer.

Delivered through classroom learning, hands-on training, and field-based activities, the course is developed with industry input to prepare you for roles in Indigenous Ranger Programs, conservation organisations, and land and sea management enterprises. You’ll also engage with Indigenous organisations, government agencies, and environmental groups, building practical experience and industry connections, and graduating ready to contribute to the sustainable management of Country.
