On completion of this apprenticeship course you'll be looking at a career as a licensed electrician (additional requirements apply).
This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs(opens in a new tab) for more information.

Launch Your Career in the Electrical Industry
Start or advance your career in the electrical trade with this nationally recognised qualification. You’ll gain a strong mix of practical, hands-on training and technical knowledge to work safely and effectively across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Develop the skills to select, install, commission, test, fault-find, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. On completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for an Electrical Licence.
Electrical careers offer diverse opportunities, from practical on-site work to roles in engineering and consultancy. As industries shift toward clean energy and sustainability, demand for skilled electricians continues to grow, opening doors to exciting and future-focused career path.
This qualification allows you to choose a pathway aligned with your career goals:
Communications
Build skills in telecommunications cabling, including installing, maintaining, modifying and testing coaxial and structured copper systems. Training meets Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) requirements.
Instrumentation
Prepare for in-demand roles across mining, oil and gas, energy, and advanced manufacturing. This pathway develops instrumentation and control skills and, for those progressing to Stage 6, includes the PLC component of the Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation.
