Do you want to build a solid base for your future?

This practical course is an ideal way to develop your literacy, numeracy and employability skills to step into further study or employment. It is designed to meet the minimum entry requirements for a range of industry qualifications.

The course caters for a wide range of students within a supportive, flexible, adult learning environment.

When successfully completed the Certificate III in General Education of Adults will meet the entry requirements for most Certificate IV or Diploma level TAFE courses.

All applicants will be required to undertake literacy and numeracy testing to determine the appropriate course level for entry. Applicants who successfully complete the testing will then undertake an interview to ensure they are suited to the adult learning environment and can achieve their goals.

Please note This course will only run with sufficient enrolments, and it is not equivalent to completing years 10, 11 or 12.

I have the following attributes:

  • A desire to build a solid skill base for the future – both personally, for work or further study at TAFE or University
  • A desire to prepare for participation in employment
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with others
  • Able to monitor and review own performance in achieving learning goals
  • Able to clarify requirements of project proposals
