How Apprenticeship

Learn the art of jewellery making and open up a world of possibilities

The Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture (Jeweller) is a four-year apprenticeship program delivered through employment in a professional jewellery workshop, combined with part-time study at North Metropolitan TAFE, Northbridge campus.

This course prepares you for a hands-on career in the jewellery industry, developing a strong foundation in bench skills, CAD, jewellery design, and the technical knowledge required to work as a commercial jeweller in a manufacturing environment.

Upon successful completion, you will have the skills to pursue employment opportunities both in Australia and internationally. The jewellery industry is dynamic, creative, and competitive, with success shaped by artistry, originality, and commitment to the trade.

This course also provides a pathway to further study, such as the Certificate IV in Design (Jewellery Studio). With additional training and experience, you can enhance your employment prospects, increase earning potential, and specialise in specific areas of jewellery design and manufacture.

The Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture is as an apprenticeship; please see the Apprenticeships section for more information.
