Are you looking for an electronic security career with current skills?

When you complete the Certificate III in Security Equipment, you’ll be ready to start a career as a security equipment tradesperson. You’ll gain the practical skills and knowledge to confidently install, service, and maintain both small and large security systems, including CCTV, and make your mark in the electronic security industry.

You’ll learn to troubleshoot circuits, work with both wired and wireless systems, and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes, and specifications. Along the way, you’ll develop a strong understanding of workplace health and safety, ensuring you can carry out your work safely and professionally. By the end of the course, you’ll have the hands-on experience and technical know-how to step straight into the electronic security industry and make an immediate impact.

  • Program and commission commercially available security and closed circuit television systems
  • Troubleshoot circuits
  • Work with wired and wireless systems
  • Work with drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes, and specifications
  • Workplace health and safety
