This intermediate-level course builds on foundational SolidWorks skills, guiding students through more advanced modelling techniques and real-world design applications. It’s ideal for students aiming to deepen their CAD proficiency for industry using SolidWorks.
This short course held at North Metropolitan TAFE's Midland Campus takes you through:
- Advanced part modelling: multi-body parts, complex features, and configurations
- Parametric design
- Assembly strategies: top-down vs. bottom-up design
- Introduction to surface modelling
- Design for manufacturability and tolerance analysis
- Enhanced drawing techniques and BOM creation
To be successful in this course you will need to have completed Introduction to SolidWorks or have equivalent experience, such as proficiency in basic 3D modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings and familiarity with engineering or product design workflows.
