Get started with Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Whether you're completely new to AI or keen to sharpen your skills, this hands-on course is the perfect place to begin. You'll explore how AI can be used to identify and automate tasks, starting with the key mathematical and programming foundations you’ll need.

From there, you’ll dive into practical skills using Python, working in Jupyter Notebooks, and applying your knowledge to a final project focused on automation and robotics.

As a student, you’ll also have access to accelerated GPU environments featuring 2x NVIDIA T4 GPUs - ideal for running modern AI models with speed and efficiency.

  • Use Python and Jupyter Notebooks
  • Apply key mathematical and physics principles to robotics, including functions, geometry, angles, Newton’s laws, vectors, and forces
  • Explore the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence across real-world contexts

I have the following attributes:

  • Work at numeracy level 3 (ACSF)
  • Navigate and manage files and folders on a computer
  • Search online effectively and find reliable information
  • Solve basic digital problems independently
  • Use whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Read dates and 24-hour time formats
  • Recognise common 2D and 3D shapes
  • Use basic measurements (length, mass, volume, temperature, area)
  • Interpret simple maps, plans, tables, graphs, and charts
