Machine knitting is a skill that is widely used in the international fashion industry. In this skill set, you'll will gain the skills needed to respond to the demand for diverse and bespoke textile applications in the local fashion industry. This includes being introduced to 3D garment construction on the knitting machine, learning how to knit socks, and how to create a tension gauge then translating it into a simple jumper design using a ribber attachment.
This skill set is aimed at those wanting to build upon machine knitting skills, hobbyists, or those working in the fashion industry.
