Create vibrant multi-colour lino prints
Develop your printmaking practice and learn how to create vibrant, multi-colour lino prints using the reduction printing method.
You’ll explore the creative possibilities of colour reduction linocut, learning how to design and carve a lino block, mix and modify inks, and build complex images through carefully planned layers of colour. You’ll develop practical skills in colour theory, registration, colour overlays and editioning as you work through guided studio projects.
Using specialist printmaking equipment in a purpose-built studio, you’ll gain confidence in carving, printing and producing a limited-edition series of professional-quality prints. You’ll also learn about safe studio practices and the technical considerations involved in taking a reduction print from your initial design through to the final edition.
Whether you’re new to printmaking or an experienced practitioner, this skill set will help you expand your creative practice and develop your technical skills in contemporary relief printmaking.
