This course is designed for electrical and automation professionals who work with - or want to move into - industrial control and motor drive systems. This includes electricians, instrumentation and control technicians, automation technicians, maintenance personnel, and engineering technicians.

If you have a foundation in electrical knowledge and want to build practical, job-ready skills, this course will help you develop confidence in programming, commissioning, integrating, and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) used in industrial and process control environments.

You’ll gain hands-on, industry-focused training in applying PLCs and VFDs within real-world automation settings. Throughout the course, you will learn how to program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot control systems used for motor control and process automation.

  • Program and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using industry-standard software
  • Configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on PLC- and VFD-based systems
