Ever wondered how to bring your original 2D artworks to life on clay, such as tiles, plates, vases or sculptures? In this hands-on course, you will explore the creative possibilities of printmaking on clay. Learn how to transform your own 2D designs into screen-printed tissue transfers, paper mono prints and lino cuts, ready to apply to your ceramic pieces.
Surface Decoration and Printmaking on Clay is suitable for beginners and experienced art practitioners alike. Whether you are a school leaver, art teacher, art technician or a hobbyist looking for something different, creative and fun, this course is for you.
- Develop 2D artwork for silk screen and lino cut
- Create tissue and paper transfers using screen printing and painting
- Carve lino cuts for surface decoration and print transfer
- Design and make clay pieces (wheel, handbuilding or slip casting) to apply 2D prints
