This course is ideal for IT professionals, cybersecurity enthusiasts, managers and boards who have oversite of an organisations Cyber maturity, and anyone looking to understand and implement the Essential Eight Maturity Model within their organisation.

It is recommended that you possess:

  • Sufficient literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy to be able to navigate and utilise the various learning and assessment resources provided in the course, plus
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Information Technology course, or higher, or equivalent experience e.g. two years previous industry experience in an IT, GRC, cyber security or generalist management/administrative role may serve as an appropriate proxy for meeting the admission recommendations.

This course is delivered on campus at East Perth 1 day per week for 3 weeks - classes run on Tuesdays, 9:30am - 4:30pm.

2025 course dates

  • 16 September to 7 October
  • 4 November to 18 November

As well as your scheduled classes, you will need to complete additional study each week, including private study, assignment preparation, and research.
