We're delighted to celebrate the success of our finalists at the WA Training Awards 2026, which recognise exceptional vocational education and training students across Western Australia.
A huge congratulations to our student Shokooh Rezaei, winner of the WA Cultural Diversity Training Award.
Shokooh's journey to Australia has been one of courage, resilience and determination. Leaving Iran behind was not easy, and through a humanitarian visa pathway she rebuilt her life twice, first in Türkiye and then again in Australia. While starting over in a new country came with many challenges, Shokooh embraced every opportunity to create a positive future for herself and her family.
Motivated by her own experiences, Shokooh enrolled in the Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance at North Metropolitan TAFE. Her goal was simple but powerful - to help others feel supported, understood and cared for during difficult times.
Throughout her studies, Shokooh demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and a genuine passion for helping people from all backgrounds. Her award recognises not only her hard work and achievements, but also the valuable contribution culturally diverse learners make to our communities and workplaces.
We're proud of Shokooh and this well-deserved achievement. Congratulations on being named the WA Cultural Diversity Training Award winner.
