Jasmine's story

Jasmine’s journey into tiling began with a trial-a-trade, and she hasn’t looked back. After completing her Certificate II in Building and Construction in 2025, she secured on-the-job training with All Class Tiling, which quickly turned into a full-time apprenticeship. Now, she’s building her skills every day and carving out a successful career as a tiler.

Supporting Women in Trades

Meet Keira

"Choosing a trade was not the most conventional pathway, but it has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. As one of only a small number of female glazing apprentices in Western Australia, and the only woman in my TAFE class, I have learned not only technical skills, but resilience, confidence and self-belief."

Meet Jasmine

"I think it's awesome for women, it's a good chance to really get your eye in for it because the little details and the creative and artsy side of it is we do have to make it look pretty, we have to fine tune things and make everything look perfect and neat and clean, and you know who's the best at that."

Meet Suzi

"I felt in my old career that it wasn't what I wanted to do any more and I wanted a change. I've always been drawn to working with my hands and problem solving, so beginning a trade was a no brainer. To any woman considering studying a trade, I'd say absolutely do it. Why not! There's a lot of pathways for you forward, and I think it's a good opportunity."
