To make the most of the techniques and skills covered in this skill sets you will need to provide evidence such as a photograph/s that demonstrate you can already throw to a moderate standard.

If you can throw a cylinder to a height of 150mm with reasonable consistency, this is the course for you.

On Campus

This course is delivered for 2.5 hours, over 18 weeks.

Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.

This course may not lead to a specific job outcome, but if you are a self-practicing artist or a teacher -  this skill set will enhance your skills and if you are a technician working in the field of ceramics will give you formal qualifications in the use of refining techniques.

This skill set covers two units from the Diploma of Visual Arts.

• CUACER511 Refine ceramics techniques
• CUACER513 Refine throwing techniques
