You'll gain essential accounting skills including the use of accounting software like Xero, to help you deal with finances for a small business or an organisation.

This course is particularly suited to anyone who has just completed school, is contemplating a career change or re-entering the workforce.

If you have an eye for figures, can think on your feet, and enjoy working with others, then this is an excellent qualification to launch you towards a highly successful and rewarding career.

You'll be able to access your personal timetable (find out how on our Timetables page), once you have paid your fees. In the meantime the information below provides an indication of the time commitment required to complete this course, depending on available study options.

When you study full-time on campus, classes are delivered over two and a half days per week.

  • Two days  9:00 - 4:30 pm plus a half day from 9:00 - 11:00 am

This includes one day of combined delivery (online and on campus).

As well as the in-class component, approximately three to five hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, is recommended, including private study, assessment preparation, research and participation in Collaborate sessions.

Bring your own device (BYOD) is encouraged but not essential. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours.

As a student you will also have additional costs associated with your study, for example stationery, printing and other materials required for your assignments but in this course, access to textbooks is covered in your Resource Fees.
You'll be provided with links to the digital versions of the textbooks you need, transportable, accessible and at your fingertips.
