This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Every business runs on a network — and someone has to keep it running. This Certificate III gives you the practical, hands-on foundations to support, secure and troubleshoot real network environments. You will work with industry-standard kit, learn Python scripting for automation, and finish ready for a Certificate IV pathway in Cisco, Microsoft or Red Hat.
What you will build
- Hands-on configuration of real client-side Windows environments
- Networking foundations that lead directly into Cisco, Microsoft and Red Hat training
- Python scripting skills for automating network tasks
- Hardware fluency — disassembling, reassembling and maintaining PCs
- Professional workplace document skills using Microsoft 365
- Learn Networking Technologies that will support you in your learning of Cisco, Microsoft & RedHat products at Certificate IV level
- Disassemble and reassemble desktop PCs from their components and learn basic hardware maintenance.
- Advanced settings and features of the client side Windows Operating Systems using Virtual Machines.
- Programming Python gives you a head start in network scripting.
- Create professional workplace documents using Microsoft Office 2016; Word (word processor), Excel (spreadsheet) and Access (database)
