This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Are you ready to unearth a fine career?
This Certificate III in Mining Exploration will help prepare you for entry level jobs in the mining industry such as a pit or underground technician, drilling offsider or geological field assistant.
You'll learn how to collect and analyse geological samples, record information and look after the practical tasks involved in servicing a remote field operation.
You'll also learn mining computing, first aid and mining methods.
​It is strongly advised that you obtain a manual licence and complete a four wheel drive course to improve your employment prospects.

You can enrol in this course if you are under 18. However, mining companies currently only employ people 18 years of age or over.
