This comprehensive course is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge required to ensure the safe and effective sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment. You can learn you to make a real difference in infection prevention and control.

Through hands-on training, you will learn the essential processes of cleaning, inspecting, packaging, sterilising, and distributing surgical and clinical instruments. You'll develop a strong understanding of infection control principles and how they are applied in real-world healthcare settings. 

The course also provides foundation knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology to support your work in clinical environments. 

Learning is guided by experienced industry professionals through interactive workshops and practical sessions, giving you the opportunity to build confidence and competence using state-of-the-art sterilisation equipment and facilities. 

To deepen your understanding, you’ll also participate in industry-based excursions where you can observe sterilisation practices in action and appreciate their critical role in protecting patient safety.

  • Clean, inspect, package, sterilise, and distribute medical instruments in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Apply infection prevention strategies to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Understand basic human anatomy and medical terminology relevant to sterilisation and clinical procedures.
  • Operate sterilisation equipment and follow protocols for quality assurance and safety.
