This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs(opens in a new tab) for more information.

Food safety is a legal and practical responsibility when working in any food handling environment. This course gives you the essential knowledge and hands-on skills to meet current food safety laws and workplace hygiene standards.

Designed for people already working in food-related roles, the Food Safety Supervision Skill Set focuses on real-world application. You’ll learn how to identify food safety risks, handle food safely, and support compliance in a commercial setting.

Training is delivered on campus, with practical sessions in training kitchens so you can apply what you learn in a realistic environment.

This course is ideal if you work in a food handling role and need to meet food safety requirements, including in hospitality venues, commercial kitchens, food service operations, and catering and food preparation environments.

It’s also a great fit if you’re moving into a supervisory role and need a solid understanding of your food safety responsibilities.
