Our courses will help you bring your ideas to life.
Animators, visual effects artists, and digital creatives are highly sought after to support the increasing demand for digital content. Develop a broad range of digital skills including digital art, 2D animation, 3D modelling and animation, storytelling, and audio production. Courses are offered at our Joondalup and Perth campuses, with each campus specialising in either Game Art or Visual Effects at Diploma and Advanced Diploma level.
Our Perth studios are located in the creative Perth Cultural Centre in the heart of Northbridge. The courses offered here focus on creating digital art for the entertainment industry. You’ll learn how to create concept art, 2D and 3D character animation, digital character sculpting, modelling and rigging, world building, and asset creation for animated films and games.
Courses are delivered in a practical learning environment using the latest industry-standard software, including Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unity, and Unreal Engine. As a graduate, you’ll be equipped to compete in local, national, and global markets using the same software tools and work practices employed by leading animation and game studios around the world.
If you are interested in visual effects used in TV and film, then the Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation and Visual Effects) is for you. At our Joondalup campus, you will have access to specialised PC labs and motion capture studios. You will develop skills in 2D and 3D animation, post-production, storyboarding, design, creative writing, audio production, and visual effects at Diploma level. At Advanced Diploma level, you will be involved in industry animation project work, gaining real-world experience and building an extensive portfolio.
Please note we have further Animation and Games courses available under Film, TV and Radio Broadcasting (Media).
